AI Experts from Marburg in the Semi-finals of the 2023 Hessian Founders Award

LATODA is establishing itself as a specialist provider for the development and application of image processing procedures and solutions with Artificial Intelligence.

Marburg, July 24, 2023 - LATODA, the emerging AI start-up from Marburg, has reached the semi-finals of the prestigious Hessian Founders Award 2023. This annual award recognizes the most innovative and promising start-ups.

LATODA is participating in the "Innovative Business Idea" category, aimed at companies demonstrating a unique business idea or technology with the potential to transform their industry. LATODA, founded by scientists from different disciplines at the Philipps University of Marburg, specializes in the development and application of object and detection and image processing solutions with Artificial Intelligence.

LATODA is establishing itself as a specialist provider for the development and application of image processing procedures and solutions with Artificial Intelligence. LATODA's core competencies are in the fields of Data Science, AI programming, and project management at the highest scientific level. AI applications from LATODA include decision support systems for wind farm operators, industrial companies, energy providers, doctors, clinics and medical technology companies, as well as the maritime industry.

Among LATODA's first customers is a global energy corporation that uses AI to check the surface structure of the rotor blades of its wind turbines. LATODA offers a unique system of Artificial Intelligence to monitor and optimize the performance of wind energy plants.

The system for analyzing inspection images and data of rotor blades reduces inspection and maintenance costs and offers novel possibilities for detecting turbulences and performance losses caused by erosion damage to rotor blades of wind turbines.

"We are very proud of our progress and the recognition by the Hessian Founders Award," says Daniel Hein, one of the founders of LATODA. "Our AI solutions have the potential to revolutionize the way various industries operate, from energy production to healthcare. This is just the beginning of our journey."
